About
Dr Charlie Cullen is the head of the Multimodal Interaction Group (MmIG), which undertakes various projects related to audio, speech, character animation, online learning and location based services.
Charlie is currently leading the design and construction of the Multimodal Interaction Laboratory (MmIL) in DIT- a cutting edge facility for the study of human interaction.
Charlie has published in the fields of data Sonification, musical pattern design, emotional speech corpora, emotional speech analysis and auditory user interfaces for location based services. He also acts as reviewer for the International Conference on Semantic and Digital Media Technologies (SAMT) and Multimedia Tools and Applications (Springer).
